This place use to be a fishing village, and today it is a true tourist oasis. It is 9 kilometers away from Makarska. There are about 1,500 inhabitants living in Podgora, and they are living mainly from growing olives, fishing, tourism and seafaring. Podgora is well known for its wells of drinking water, and the most well known therapeutic well of the salt water is called Klokun. Long pebble beaches, crystal clean sea won't leave anyone aloof. You can find accomodation in the hotel, private apartments and rooms. This is the ideal destination for families with kids. Even younger guests can find entertainment in one of the cafes, open terraces and similar places. There are numerous sport courts at disposal for the ones seeking recreation. We recommend you to visit other places on the Riviera of Makarska – Makarska, Bratus, Baska Voda, Brela, Drvenik, Brist, Drasnice, Igrane, Gradac, Podaca, Tucepi, Zaostrog and Zivogosce .
